MedQuist and StructuRad Form Partnership to Integrate Report Macros into SpeechQ for Radiology(TM)
Date:5/15/2008

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MedQuist Inc. (Pink Sheets: MEDQ), the leading provider of clinical documentation workflow technology and services, and StructuRad LLC, an innovator in radiology reporting solutions, announced today they have agreed to integrate and use StructuRad's radiology reporting content "macros" in MedQuist's SpeechQ for Radiology(TM) speech recognition solution product.

MedQuist will be demonstrating this integration at its booth (#304) at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) 2008 Annual Meeting, being held May 15-18 in Seattle, Wash.

The purpose of the agreement is to provide MedQuist with a new add-on capability for macro reporting within SpeechQ. The SpeechQ macro reporting product will use content macros derived from StructuRad's proprietary knowledge base radiology lexicon. StructuRad currently has a library of more than 7,000 report templates.

"From the beginning, our goal with SpeechQ was to provide choices for the radiologist. Our partnership with StructuRad again demonstrates our desire to give the end user that choice. The content that StructuRad provides will also help organizations to provide better quality reporting to their customers," states Chris Spring, MedQuist director of speech recognition solutions.

"Combining StructuRad macros with MedQuist's advanced speech recognition solutions will further enhance SpeechQ users' productivity," notes Bill Tulloss, vice president of marketing and sales for StructuRad LLC. "This partnership will make it easy for SpeechQ users to quickly create reports from an extensive library of templates, rather than developing them on their own."
