Martek to Announce Third Quarter 2007 Results on September 5, 2007

COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Martek Biosciences Corporation announced that it intends to release the results of its third quarter of fiscal 2007 on September 5, 2007, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Following the release, at 4:45 p.m. EDT Martek will hold a conference call to discuss the results of its third quarter of fiscal 2007 with investors. The call is expected to be approximately one hour in duration. The conference call will also be available live via the Internet. All interested parties may listen to the call by visiting Martek's web site at http://investors.martek.com.

An archived webcast of the conference call will be available on the Martek's website for thirty days. In addition, a recorded playback of the call will be available for one week and can be accessed by calling 800-633-8284 and entering pass code 21344626.
