Martek to Announce First Quarter 2008 Results on March 5, 2008

COLUMBIA, Md., Feb 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Martek Biosciences Corporation announced that it intends to release the results of its first quarter of fiscal 2008 on March 5, 2008, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Following the release, at 4:45 p.m. ET Martek will hold a conference call to discuss the results of its first quarter of fiscal 2008 with investors. The call is expected to be approximately one hour in duration. The conference call will also be available live via the Internet. All interested parties may listen to the call by visiting Martek's web site at http://investors.martek.com.

An archived webcast of the conference call will be available on the Martek's website for thirty days. In addition, a recorded playback of the call will be available for one week and can be accessed by calling 800-633- 8284 and entering pass code 21375296.
