Marrone Bio Innovations Named an IC20 Company

DAVIS, Calif., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI), a leader in the discovery, development and commercialization of effective and environmentally responsible pest management products, announced that it has been named an IC20 company by the Investors' Circle, the United States' oldest and largest national angel investing group.

Companies named to the IC20 excel in performance leading to rewarding results for all stakeholders, including investors, the environment and society. Qualitative and quantitative metrics are used to assess 197 companies, identifying the top achievers in financial, social, and environmental success.

"MBI's selection as an IC20 company recognizes our commitment to bringing effective, natural, environmentally sound pest management products to the marketplace," states Pam Marrone, Founder and CEO of MBI. "Our success comes from solving our customers unmet needs, and providing safe, effective products to replace and augment disappearing synthetic alternatives. Our mission inherently benefits the environment, and our success rewards those who have contributed financially to our growth and achievements, such as the Investors' Circle."

Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI) discovers, develops and markets effective and environmentally responsible products that fill unmet needs for weed, disease and pest management. MBI's effective and safe products come from a combination of in-licensed technology and its own discovery. The company's own R&D finds naturally occurring microorganisms from unique habitats and develops them into pest management products. MBI has an impressive pipeline of new products, including two insecticides, two herbicides and Zequanox(TM), a product for controlling invasive zebra and quagga mussels in fresh waterways. MBI currently markets Regalia® for control of fungal and bacterial diseases of both food and ornamental crops, and GreenMatch® Burndown Herbicide for weed control in organic crop production.
