This program spans across multiple major ophthalmic indications including diabetic macular edema (DME), wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), uveitis and dry age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD). Additionally, as part of this Phase 2 program, the company is using Perceiva to evaluate the potential role for sirolimus in the treatment of dry eye syndrome (DES). With patient enrollment complete in four MacuSight-sponsored Phase 2 studies, the company plans to announce data from these studies in the first half of 2010.
