MO BIO Laboratories, Inc. launches the first kit for protein extraction from soil

CARLSBAD, Calif., June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MO BIO Laboratories, Inc., the leader in soil, plant, stool and other challenging microbial nucleic acid purification, announces the launch of the NoviPure™ Soil Protein Extraction Kit, for extraction of pure protein from all soil types. This expansion into the protein world coincides with the 20th anniversary of the company and showcases its ever growing innovation capabilities.

The NoviPure™ Soil Protein Extraction Kit is the latest product in MO BIO's popular line of soil kits and features a patent-pending protein extraction technology. It is the first commercially available kit designed for extraction of extracellular and intracellular microbial protein from a wide range of soil types without co-extraction of interfering compounds such as humic substances. Protein extracted with the NoviPure™ Soil Protein Extraction Kit has been used successfully in 1D and 2D polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.
