STAMFORD, Conn., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MKM Partners today announced that Jon LeCroy, M.D., has joined as a Managing Director in its Equity Research department to cover biotechnology and specialty pharmaceuticals companies, inaugurating MKM's research expansion into the healthcare sector.

Dr. LeCroy covered the same sector at Hapoalim Securities USA most recently and at Natixis Bleichroeder and Goldman Sachs before that. He ranked #5 in this year's Wall Street Journal Best on the Street poll in Biotechnology. Dr. LeCroy holds an MBA from Boston University's Graduate School of Management, an M.D. from University of South Florida College of Medicine and a B.S. in biology from Wake Forest University. He will be based in MKM's Stamford headquarters.

"I am excited about the opportunity to join MKM Partners and plan to build on the firm's previous success by expanding research coverage into the healthcare industry," Jon remarked.

"Our move into the healthcare vertical expands MKM's research footprint," said MKM Partners CEO Richard R. Castellano.
