MHA Announces: Tommy Thompson to be Keynote Speaker at The MHA 5th Annual Business Summit

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), the nation's largest Alternate Site GPO, announced today that it plans to open the 2008 MHA Business Summit with prominent speaker Tommy Thompson, former U.S. Secretary, Health and Human Services (2001-2005), former four-term Governor of Wisconsin (1987-2001), former 2008 Presidential candidate and current Independent Chairman, Deloitte Center for Health Solutions. Marking the 5th Anniversary of the Business Summit to be held March 27-28, at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada, MHA is extremely pleased to host such an honored guest. The 2007 Summit attracted over 300 pharmacy attendees and 175 industry partners. MHA expects the momentum to continue, ensuring that the 2008 event will top last year's success.

The two-day 2008 Summit will continue to center on strategies to maximize long-term care pharmacy opportunities under Medicare Part D while also covering regulatory issues that pertain to pharmacy services; new technologies to drive efficiencies and reduce medication errors, and strategies to improve reimbursement and financial management. Key Note speaker Tommy Thompson will impart his views on the upcoming Presidential election and the potential impact to Medicare Part D. In addition, he will join other featured health care industry speakers in exploring the tough health care policy issues of today.
