Live Webinar: Paperless QC Micro Implemented by Talecris Biotherapeutics
Date:4/20/2010

Interactive event features implementation of MODA-EM™

Wayne, PA (PRWEB) April 20, 2010 -- MODA Technology Partners will offer a live, interactive Webinar on the benefits and value of implementing MODA-EM™, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM ET (8:00 AM PT, 9:00 AM MT). The presentation will feature Marvin Thompson, Manager, Quality Operations at Talecris, and Bob Toal, Vice President at MODA.

Talecris is a global biotherapeutic and biotechnology company that discovers, develops, and produces innovative biotherapeutics for people with life-threatening disorders. Talecris utilizes MODA's mobile data acquisition platform to automate their quality control (QC) process for improved Environmental Monitoring (EM), Utility Testing, and Product Testing.

Common manual paper-based process steps still burden most QC Micro programs: paper scheduling, sharpie pen labeling of sample media, manual reconciliation, paper log book entry, and manual notification on deviations. These steps are labor-intensive, time consuming, and yield duplication of tasks and high error rates. Talecris' implementation of MODA-EM allows them to achieve the goal of a paperless, automated QC organization.

During this live, 60-minute Webinar, MODA and Talecris will discuss the following:

  • Paperless QC Process and MODA-EM
  • Scope of the Talecris QC Micro Program
  • Previous Processes and the Need for Automation
  • Key Requirements for New Solution and Selection Process
  • Implementation and Validation of MODA-EM
  • Current State and Plans for the Future
