These lens implants enable patients to see in the distance and read without being dependent on glasses or contact lenses after cataract surgery.

David Huang, a Los Angeles LASIK surgery expert and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, presented his research on the Detection of Keratoconus Pattern on Corneal Pachymetry Maps by Fitting of Gaussian Waveform in order to detect keratoconus on corneal pachymetry maps. Dr. Huang's innovative new pachymetric analysis may prove to be useful in the early diagnosis and tracking of corneal ectatic diseases like keratoconus.
