Laureate Pharma Honored as Emerging Life Sciences Company of the Year

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Laureate Pharma, Inc., a full-service biopharmaceutical development and protein production company, today announced that it has been named the "Emerging Life Science Company of the Year" by The Eastern Technology Council, the largest technology and life sciences trade association in the greater Philadelphia, PA region. The company was honored for its innovation in services, achievement of milestones and strength of its management team, at the ETC's annual Enterprise Awards Gala at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center on November 18th.

Laureate is an established leader in the contract manufacture of clinical supply of biopharmaceutical products that target diseases including various types of cancer, autoimmune diseases, bone disorders and infectious diseases. Over the past few years Laureate has demonstrated strong growth, expanding its facility and manufacturing capacity as well as capabilities. Laureate has achieved several milestones during its impressive history, including commissioning a new pilot plant, and becoming EBITDA positive in 2007. In addition, the company has signed major biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing contracts and fill/finish agreements growing its market share and boosting its revenue.
