Laureate Pharma Appoints Gary Swan as Vice President of Operations

PRINCETON, N.J., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Laureate Pharma, Inc., a full-service biopharmaceutical development and protein production company, today announced the appointment of Gary Swan as Vice President of Operations. In this newly created position, Mr. Swan will be responsible for leading Laureate's manufacturing operations, which include upstream processing, downstream processing, formulation and filling, facilities maintenance, warehouse operations, and environmental, health and safety regulations.

Gary's experience includes biopharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering, technical services, validation, and quality control. Most recently, Gary held the position of Senior Director of Manufacturing at Nastech Pharmaceuticals in Hauppauge, NY, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company developing innovative products based on proprietary molecular biology-based drug delivery technologies. At Nastech, Gary directed the operations at two manufacturing sites in New York and Washington. In this capacity, he also led the planning and scheduling of the production of R&D, clinical, and licensed products. Prior to Nastech, Gary was the Vice President of Operations at VI Technologies in Melville, NY, a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company with a focus on deve
