Lambert, Edwards & Associates Named Agency of Record for The West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A) today announced it has added the West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative (WMSTI) to its growing list of health care clients.

Based in Grand Rapids, LE&A is West Michigan's top-ranked public relations agency and the state's largest investor relations firm. The firm will provide public relations services and related strategic counsel to WMSTI.

"The life science industry is growing at a rapid rate and we were looking for a partner to help us further our efforts in commercialization of new products West Michigan," said Linda Chamberlain, executive director of WMSTI. "The LE&A team has a proven track record and critical knowledge of the life science landscape. We are looking forward to working with them."

LE&A's other health care clients include the Center for Molecular Medicine, Spectrum Health, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, FinCor Holdings, the Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute and United American Healthcare Corporation.

The West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative is a partnership among the Right Place, Inc., Van Andel Research Institute, Grand Valley State University, the city of Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Community College, Spectrum Health, Saint Mary's Health Care and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Its mission is to create an environment that sparks innovation and supports the commercialization of science and technology. Since its inception, the Initiative has assisted more than 70 plus clients in commercialization of new products, including funding through receipt of more than $7M in federal and state grant awards.
