LCS Constructors, Inc. Supports the Cure and Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Date:10/12/2010

d Clarient, Inc. And, it was these two companies that ended up playing a key role in her early diagnosis of breast cancer. Today, Maggi is focused on her recovery, work, and recent engagement to her wonderful boyfriend. She is a member of Team LCS and participated in the Race for the Cure event.

According to the Susan G. Komen website, http://www.komenoc.org/race, in California alone, there are more than 21,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Sadly, breast cancer will take the lives of 4,000 women this year. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

With exceptional cancer and breast cancer diagnostic, research and drug development clients such as Clarient, Quest Diagnostics, Agendia, Genzyme, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Abraxis Bioscience, US Labs and the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute, LCS was proud to be supporters and fundraisers at the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event.

LCS is also proud to be members of the American Cancer Society (ACS) and a sponsor of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA), Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio), and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE). LCS will continue to build and support cancer research laboratories and participate in the overall fight against breast cancer, and Team LCS looks forward to participating in future Race for the Cure events. So, as we roll through the month of October, let's all take a few moments to consider ways we can show our support for breast cancer awareness, education and fundraising.
