Reston, VA (PRWEB) January 16, 2013
LATISTA, the leader in field management solutions for construction, announced the release of LATISTA for iPad 2.0. The new version has a more user-friendly design and more than 20 new features created to address the challenges faced by project owners, contractors and subcontractors. LATISTA for iPad 2.0 is available now through Apple iTunes and can be accessed directly here: http://j.mp/LATISTA.
Eliminating the need for paper in the field, LATISTA transforms your documents, quality, commissioning and safety processes with a mobile and cloud-based platform, resulting in reduced project costs and delays. LATISTA worked directly with some of the biggest names in construction to test and refine their latest release and this collaboration is reflected throughout the application.
“We designed the new layout to make the features used most often more accessible. We literally put the tools our users need right at their fingertips,” according to Patricia Remacle, Vice-President of Product Management. “With such innovations as visual punch list and interactive inspection forms, this release adds to our industry leadership position.”
Below is a selection of the more than 20 new features present in LATISTA for iPad 2.0:
Visual Punch List or Punch on Plan
Rapidly create issues using drag-and-drop standard defects on a drawing or plan. Reduce cycle times with issue-generated workflows, which will automatically notify responsible parties. Users, including subcontractors, can manage their issues right from the drawing, eliminating miscommunications. Consolidate, sort and filter multiple users’ issues into a single view on a drawing for management reporting and analysis.
- Interactive Inspection Forms
Complete forms in the field exactly as they appear on paper. No need to convert your forms into linear checklists, instead simply upload and set up your forms as they appear on paper. Speed forms completion through auto-fill and drop down responses. Workflows and approvals enable streamlining your inspections processes.
- Equipment Barcode Scanning
Save valuable time in the field by instantly identifying equipment using the built-in barcode feature. Users can scan an equipment barcode and immediately see and manage associated issues, inspections and documents.
Create, update and manage commissioning issues directly from the iPad. Generate workflows, communications and approvals by synchronizing your issues to the LATISTA cloud.
With this new version, LATISTA continues its leadership in delivering the best end-user experience in the field combined with the power of workflows and collaboration in the cloud. According to previous LATISTA case studies, LATISTA clients have cut rework by more than 50% and reduced staff time by more than 20% resulting in shorter project schedules.
Unparalleled in the industry, LATISTA’s (http://www.latista.com) mobile and cloud software delivers field management solutions for construction. LATISTA’s current customers already include Fortune 100 capital project owners and top 100 general construction and engineering firms. LATISTA’s customers attest that their use of LATISTA has led them to higher quality production, lower costs and reduced legal and financial risks.
