Knowledgent Publishes Big Data Ecosystem 2013: Newest Version Categorizes over 100 Vendors
Date:8/9/2013

Warren, NJ (PRWEB) August 09, 2013

Knowledgent today is pleased to announce the release of the Big Data Ecosystem 2013. This newest version of Knowledgent’s industry-leading reference architecture for analyzing and categorizing big data offerings includes over 100 vendors.

Knowledgent developed the Big Data Ecosystem in response to the confusion over the many vendors, products, protocols, and technologies available for managing and analyzing big data. The Big Data Ecosystem not only maps existing technologies and functional capabilities, but also depicts relationships between products through proximity placement and includes point solutions, integrated solutions, on-premise and cloud offerings, emergent pure-plays, and established players in the market.

“Differentiating among vendors and technologies is key for any organization looking to capitalize on the emergence of big data,” said Chris Blotto, Chief Technologist at Knowledgent. “We believe that our Big Data Ecosystem is essential for making sense of the many tools, techniques, and other offerings available for big data.”
