Date:6/13/2013

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 13, 2013

Knowledgent Group Inc., the leading industry information consultancy, announced today the filing of U.S. Patent Application No. 13/839,406. The patent relates generally to the field of chemical information systems, search and retrieval, and more specifically to the utilization of so called “information fingerprints” to identify the characteristics of molecules and compounds, and to detect their commonality.

"As a leader in industry focused information technology we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with the application of technologies such unstructured data indexing and big data," said Saar Golde, a Knowledgent data scientist and one of the patent owners. "As organizations grapple with the challenges of research productivity, these types of automated discovery technologies have the potential to vastly decrease the time scientists and engineers spending searching for information."

This patent further enhances Knowledgent's intellectual property portfolio and highlights their capabilities to exploit leading edge technology to realize tangible business benefit for their clients.
