KGI Entrepreneur Program Hosts Angel Investing Educational Meeting

CLAREMONT, Calif., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Keck Graduate Institute's (KGI) Biotechnology Entrepreneurship program today announced it will host an angel investor educational event on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008.

The meeting of Tech Coast Angels (TCA), a network of individual investors who fund early-stage, technology and high-growth companies in Southern California, is open to members of the public interested in becoming angel investors. The educational session begins at 3 pm PST on the KGI campus. To attend or learn more about angel investing and TCA, send an email to TCA at InlandEmpire@techcoastangels.com.

"Entrepreneurship is an integral part of the biotech industry and a key element of our Master of Bioscience program at KGI," said Diana Bartlett, KGI's director of corporate partnerships. "We are honored to host the Inland Empire Tech Coast Angels, one of the funding organizations that supports entrepreneurs and start-ups."

TCA is the nation's largest angel investment group, with regional offices operating in Santa Barbara, Westlake Village, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Inland Empire. It helps fund start-up companies, totaling more than 140 companies to date.
