JIPH Accepted for MEDLINE Indexing
Date:10/20/2010

will be retroactive from Volume 1, Issue 1 (2008) of the journal.

"This news is very gratifying and underscores the hard work and dedication of all Editorial Board members, as well as the contributions of the authors," commented Ziad A. Memish, MD, FRCPC, FACP, JIPH Editor-in-Chief. "MEDLINE recognition means that the contributions of authors submitting their work to JIPH will now be viewed and cited more widely than ever before and we anticipate that our indexed status will have a very positive impact on manuscript submissions and international readership."

"The Middle East is an increasingly important region for scholarly research," Haifa Mughrabi, Director of Elsevier Middle East said. "JIPH is the first title from our Middle East journal portfolio to achieve this goal through the hard work and dedication of the editorial board."

JIPH is the official publication of the Saudi Arabian National Guard Health Affairs, and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and the Saudi Association for Public Health. The journal aims to be the foremost scientific, peer-reviewed journal encompassing infection prevention and control, microbiology, infectious diseases, public health and the application of healthcare epidemiology to the evaluation of health outcomes. The point of view of the journal is that infection and public health are closely intertwined and that advances in one area will have positive consequences on the other.
