Is There a Natural Cure for Alzheimer's and Other Dementias?
Date:12/29/2012

Lardy have published research demonstrating that coconut oil is also beneficial in the treatment and prevention of other neurological diseases such as, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehring’s disease, drug resistant epilepsy, dementia, schizophrenia, autism, and success with types 1 and 2 diabetes, acute heart attacks, and acute oxygen loss in the brain.

Dr. Mary Newport wrote the book Alzheimer’s Disease: What If There Was A Cure? about the experiences she and her husband Steve have gone through with his Alzheimer’s. Steve was developing advanced Alzheimer’s with short-term memory loss, inability to read, loss of emotions, and a very stiff walking gait. He could not draw the face on a clock with its numbers, nor remember what day it was after being repeatedly told. Dr. Newport, who runs the neonatology ward in a Tampa, Florida hospital, started to search the internet for any breakthroughs in treating Alzheimer’s. She came across Dr. Richard Veech’s research, and began giving coconut oil to Steve.

After only two weeks of taking coconut oil, Steve Newport’s Alzheimer's began to show stunning improvements. As Mary noted, Steve had not been able to read for about a year and a half, but after only two months of taking coconut oil, he was able to read again. "Instead of being very sluggish, not talking very much in the morning, he would come out in the morning with energy, talkative, and joking, and he could find his water and his utensils.” The Newport’s credit the coconut oil with making these changes happen.
