International Isotopes Inc. Announces Successful International Standards Certification for Manufacture of Its Nuclear Medicine Products and Devices

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, Aug. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- International Isotopes Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: INIS) announces it has received certification under both ISO-9001 and ISO-13485 standards for the manufacture and design of many of its nuclear medicine and cobalt-60 products.

"ISO" is the International Organization for Standardization, a powerful international standards setting body that promulgates worldwide commercial quality standards for manufacture of a wide range of products and processes. ISO certification requires rigorous inspection and validation by a certifying body to ensure that the company has an extensive Quality Assurance Program meeting all of the ISO elements and a demonstrated commitment for continuous improvement.

Steve T. Laflin, INIS President and CEO stated, "The ISO certifications are important to the Company's plans for continued expansion of sales of several products into international markets. The ISO certification also improves our capabilities and value as a contract manufacturer of nuclear medicine products for RadQual LLC.
