Instrumentation Laboratory Announces 'Passion & Results' Awards Program

Awards to Honor Outstanding Healthcare Providers

LEXINGTON, Mass., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ --- Instrumentation Laboratory (IL), today announced its "Passion & Results" award, and is now accepting nominations. Award recipients will be selected from top laboratorians, physicians and nurses who have demonstrated true passion for their profession and have gone 'above and beyond' to enhance the quality of patient care. Three winners whose stories reflect uncommon effort and energy will each receive an award plus a $2,000 educational grant for their institution in recognition of their 'passion and results.' Their compelling stories will be told and posted on the IL website (http://www.ilus.com), in brochures and featured in industry publications.

"Many outstanding healthcare professionals demonstrate unflagging drive and dedication every day to enhance the quality of patient care in some way. The 'Passion and Results' Award will strive to acknowledge these people and their institutions," said Josep Manent, CEO of IL. "We look forward to honoring these individuals, as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary."

Eligibility, Judging & Applying

From now through March 31, 2009, individuals worldwide can nominate themselves and/or others for this award. Judging and selection of the three winners will be conducted by the ILeader Panel, a group of select IL employees with substantial experience in the diagnostics industry. Winners will be honored in July, 2009. Applications can be downloaded or completed online at http://www.il
