Industry Thought Leader to Present Transformational Opportunities for Industry Adoption of Advanced Analytics at 2013 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition
Date:2/21/2013

Warren, NJ (PRWEB) February 21, 2013

Dave Schuette, Managing Partner and Chief Informationist of Knowledgent, an Industry Information Consultancy, will be speaking at the 2013 HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) event in New Orleans, Louisiana, a premier healthcare industry event that draws in excess of 30,000 professionals annually. Mr. Schuette’s presentation, “Competing On Analytics,” will explain how new information technologies are changing the way healthcare payers and providers can analyze larger volumes of data of varying complexity and quality – even from unstructured text such as physician notes – and across numerous sources, faster, economically and with greater accuracy.

“Advanced analytics is the next big thing in Healthcare,” explains Mr. Schuette. “All of today’s imperative strategies such as ACA, ACO and PCMH can be enhanced with more effective analytics. We know how to do this and want to make sure the opportunities to improve care quality and outcomes with an eye toward controlling costs are disseminated widely across the industry.”

Mr. Schuette will present on Wednesday, March 6th at 3:30pm in the Business & Clinical Knowledge Center Theater.
Additionally, attendees can visit with Knowledgent in the Business & Clinical Knowledge Center, booth number 869 and kiosk number 16, on the exhibit floor. Knowledgent will demonstrate some of the new tools and publicly available data sources, demonstrate text data mining, and discuss some of the most important opportunities to use analytics to rapidly improve and enable growth, coordinated care, quality management and illuminate true costs of (as opposed to payment for) service.
