Industry Executives to Explore the Future of Life Sciences Research Powered By Big Data Analytics
Date:2/12/2013

Warren, NJ (PRWEB) February 12, 2013

Knowledgent, a leading industry information consultancy focused on maximizing the value of information to empower clients with actionable business insights, is convening industry executives and thought leaders to explore how scientific search, powered by big data analytics, will fundamentally change the game for life sciences research and commercialization of pharmaceutical products.
This ‘Scientific Search Symposium’ will be held at The Heldrich in New Brunswick, New Jersey on Thursday, February 28th from 8:30am to 1:30pm, and will explore opportunities to increase scientific throughput and effectiveness through expanded and simplified access and exploration of information assets. Areas of discussion will include:

  •     How the latest practices in semantics, natural language processing and "big data" can be leveraged for better search and exploration
  •     What the key success drivers are to providing information visibility and exploration tools at scale across the R&D Enterprise
  •     How to meaningfully present a unified user experience across structured and unstructured information sources
  •     How data sciences can play a role in delivering faster access to information for scientists
  •     The interplay between science and information search, exploration and informatics
“It’s no secret that as Life Sciences professionals work to find new therapeutic pathways, better align therapies to individuals and optimize safety, scientists are requiring much more information at their fingertips throughout the product development lifecycle,” explains Shail Jain, Co-CEO of Knowledgent. “A key inhibitor to meeting this basic need is the fractured approach to information and knowledge management that has
