Indigo Biosystems Nominated for Two TechPoint Mira Awards for Technology Excellence and Innovation
Date:3/9/2013

Indianapolis (PRWEB) March 08, 2013

Indigo Biosystems (Indigo), a provider of scientific software for analytical laboratories, is ranked among Indiana’s most forward-thinking technology companies as a finalist in two categories of TechPoint’s 2013 Mira awards. Indigo has been recognized in two separate categories this year: Emerging IT Company of the Year and Innovation of the Year.

The company’s flagship solution, ASCENTTM, has been recognized by the panel of judges in the Innovation of the Year category for demonstrating potential superiority and viability in the clinical research and laboratory testing markets. Based on its growth trajectory and market opportunity, Indigo also has been recognized in the Emerging Tech Company of the Year category.

“Indigo is a unique company,” said Randall Julian, president and founder of Indigo. “By blending scientific expertise with leading-edge software engineering practices, we have been able to create a solution that automates tasks previously performed by human experts—freeing them to make larger contributions. The entire team here at Indigo is highly motivated to make a significant contribution to human health, and recognition like this moves us closer to our goals.”

TechPoint’s Mira awards honor the best of the technology industry in Indiana. Each of the fourteen categories showcases both Indiana start-ups, as well as long-established tech companies. The awards celebrate the gamut of successes and achievements taking place in Indiana’s tech community. Every category is judged by a panel of industry leaders and experts on category-specific criteria, as well as general criteria, including overall company leadership, competitiveness, growth, impact, and community commitment.

Finalists will be recognized and winners will be announced at the 2013 Mira awards gala which will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.
