INRA-MetaGenoPolis développe la métagénomique avec ParStream

Cette approche dite "big data" de l'univers bactérien nécessite un outillage adapté et supporté par des matériels informatiques courants, standard et de grande série, en raison des volumes massifs de données. Essentiellement, ParStream- un produit Européen- est la seule solution logicielle qui peut tirer partie d'architectures hautement parallèles telles que les GPU en traitant l'information en mode compressé. Ceci permet des opérations avec une empreinte en ressources réduite et une grande efficacité énergétique.
