Hyland Software hosts annual user forum for ECM, EMR software

CLEVELAND, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth year, healthcare organizations are gathering in downtown Cleveland for Hyland Software's annual OnBase Epic User Group Forum. The forum supports healthcare representatives' mission of providing superior patient care by implementing document management strategies to connect information throughout their organizations. The annual forum offers mutual customers of Hyland and Epic the opportunity to discuss best practices for integrating their OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) solution with their electronic medical record (EMR).

"Our established integration helps hospitals derive enhanced value from the EMR investment. Today, more than 100 healthcare systems have integrated our ECM solution, OnBase, with an Epic EMR, creating a complete patient record," said Dan West, Hyland's healthcare solutions manager.  "But our integration benefits go beyond just the EMR, connecting information from the several other systems and eliminating the time spent searching between systems for information," West said.

Representatives from nearly 30 healthcare facilities will attend this year's forum. The forum will take place from July 30-August 1, 2012, and is designed to help healthcare organizations learn more about the integration functionality, discuss important topics and best practices and request additional functionality from their ECM and EMR functionality.
