Huntington Area Development Council Attracts Technology-Based Startup Companies With $150,000 Grant From Verizon West Virginia

is to attract and retain businesses while giving them an environment to grow in Cabell and Wayne Counties, West Virginia. This improves the business climate, facilitates continued growth of the area, diversifies the economy, expands the tax base, and enhances employment opportunities for area residents -- thereby improving the overall standard of living for all citizens. Through aggressive marketing, HADCO has successfully attracted over 30 new companies to the area resulting in over $500 million in new capital investment and over 10,000 new jobs.
