Hot Information for Physicians Treating Vasomotor Symptoms During the Menopausal Transition
Date:3/25/2008

MONTVALE, N.J., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- How long is the menopausal transition? New data suggest that it's longer than most women -- and their health care providers -- think. Clinicians often face challenges determining if women will experience menopausal symptoms and when and how long these symptoms will last.

To meet the needs of health care providers, The Journal of Family Practice and OBG Management have published two supplements dealing with both the menopausal transition and the postmenopausal phase. These supplements use case studies to illustrate issues related to the menopausal transition. They also highlight new information on the pathophysiology of vasomotor symptoms and approaches to treatment.

This supplement is available on The Journal of Family Practice Web site, http://www.jfponline.com/supplements.asp?id=5791, and on the OBG Management Web site, http://www.obgmanagement.com/pages.asp?id=5769
