Hospital-Owned South Florida Physician Group to Create Integrated Clinical

Record

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Direct from the HIMSS 2008 Conference and Exhibition, Allscripts, the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, today announced that Holy Cross Hospital has selected the Allscripts Electronic Health Record to inform and connect its 85 Medical Group physicians in 28 South Florida offices.

The Allscripts solution will automate everyday clinical tasks for Holy Cross's physicians, while electronically connecting the group to South Florida's premier healthcare provider, Holy Cross Hospital, a 571-bed, non- profit Catholic hospital. Holy Cross Medical Group is a fully-owned subsidiary of Holy Cross Hospital. Holy Cross's multi-specialty physicians will use Allscripts to access real-time test results and other clinical data on their patients in Holy Cross Hospital by integrating with the hospital's Meditech inpatient system.
