ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- HEALTHeCAREERS Network, an onTargetjobs Inc. company, has committed $15,000 in scholarship funds to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists' (ASRT) Education and Research Foundation. The contribution will help provide advanced-training scholarships to radiologic technologists (R.T.s) nationwide.

As the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, the foundation provides scholarship opportunities for R.T.s to expand their clinical and management skills, which will transfer to improved patient care. This is critical for the growth of the profession because R.T.s need to stay current in a field where basic imaging has moved from x-ray tubes, film and chemicals to digital acquisition and computer processing.
"HEALTHeCAREERS Network's corporate contribution will assist ASRT's foundation in providing necessary support to radiologic technologists who administer crucial imaging examinations and radiation therapy treatments," said Wes Crews, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Niche Markets.
