GenoLogics' Geneus Achieves GeneChip-compatible(TM) Status with the Affymetrix GeneChip(R) Microarray Platform
Date:9/5/2007

VICTORIA, BC, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ - GenoLogics, a leading developer of lab and data management software solutions for life sciences research, announced today the Company has joined the Affymetrix GeneChip-compatible(TM) Applications Program, and its Geneus product has achieved GeneChip-compatible(TM) status with the Affymetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFFX) GeneChip(R) microarray platform. GenoLogics has seamlessly integrated its Geneus solution, built for multiple genomics applications, with the Affymetrix GeneChip(R) platforms, GeneChip Operating Software (GCOS) and the new GeneChip(R) Command Console(TM) Software (AGCC).

Since mid-last year the GenoLogics team has been working closely with Affymetrix' development team, to ensure the development of a seamless integration that enables bi-lateral communication between Geneus and the Affymetrix GeneChip microarray platform.

Geneus, a LIMS and scientific data management system (SDMS) purposed for multiple genomics application areas, is built on an adaptable and configurable platform. The Geneus software allows for smooth data flow from one system to another and acts as the informatics backbone for one or multiple labs.

Steve Lincoln, vice president of Informatics at Affymetrix said, "We are pleased to welcome GenoLogics' Geneus into the GeneChip-compatible family of applications. Geneus' integration with the Affymetrix platform allows customers to streamline and scale-up their microarray-based science more efficiently and cost-effectively."

Jason Wilson, product manager at GenoLogics commented, "I am very excited about our GeneChip application partnership with Affymetrix. This high value integration aligns with our strategy to bridge the connectivity gap for researchers with a LIMS and SDMS that interconnects their entire lab with their Affymetrix GeneChip technology."

"We are delighted that we are now a member of Affymetrix' GeneChip-compatible applications program and we look forward to a close ongoing relationship with them. Our partnership with Affymetrix extends our growing network of strategic partners. Strong relationships with best-in-class vendors enable us to provide solutions that are deeply purposed for variety of emerging life sciences applications," commented Michael Ball, GenoLogics CEO.
