Geneva Healthcare Raises $1.8 Million to Expand Data Management for Cardiac Devices to Hospital Systems Nationwide

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Geneva Healthcare, the developer of an innovative technology platform for managing data from cardiac devices, announced it has raised $1.83 million in its first round of financing, led by high net worth individuals including cardiologists, physicians and successful technology entrepreneurs. With this investment, Geneva Healthcare will expand its reach to hospital systems and healthcare networks nationwide.

This financing round comes shortly after a study presented in the Academic Emergency Medicine Journal found The Geneva Healthcare Suite cut the average waiting time by 92 minutes at the UC San Diego Emergency Department.

"Hospitals are seeing a great return on their investments with Geneva, and we need to get that message out even more aggressively," said Kai Worrell, co-founder and CEO of Geneva Healthcare. "This funding will allow us to advance the development of our software and to grow our sales force."

Since its inception in 2011, Geneva Healthcare has focused on implementing the Geneva Healthcare Suite in key hospitals throughout Southern California, collecting data and measuring the value.

"Hospitals are looking for solutions that save time, lower costs and improve care and outcomes. We've proven that Geneva does that," said Yuri Sudhakar, vice president of sales and marketing of Geneva Healthcare. "Now we will build on that momentum to deliver the technology to provider systems, larger healthcare networks in the Southwest and key hospital systems nationwide. Hiring talented and passionate people to join in that mission is a top priority."
