GSK Notice of Third Quarter 2008 Results Announcement and Teleconference

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, GlaxoSmithKline plc (NYSE: GSK) will announce its third quarter financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2008. The announcement is scheduled for release to the London Stock Exchange at approximately 12:00pm UK, 7:00 am EDT.

At 10:00 am EDT, media are invited to attend a global teleconference for analysts and investors, hosted by Andrew Witty, Chief Executive Officer and Julian Heslop, Chief Financial Officer.
