Ambassador Appia is available to meet with press to discuss recent pro-business initiatives adopted by France to further develop the financial, fiscal and academic landscape for innovation and development.

Why:
France is home to the world’s fifth largest economy and is the number two recipient of foreign direct investment worldwide after the United States. French President Nicholas Sarkozy has made it a national priority to make France the leading business destination in Europe. Ambassador Appia will be in Toronto on Friday, December 11 to meet with local business leaders. His speech at the Economic Club of Canada will touch upon the Grand Paris Project and the Grand Emprunt. This will be Appia’s first visit as Ambassador to Toronto.
