Plenary Speaker at AdvaMed 2008 - Book signing to follow his presentation

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Healthcare policy, regulatory environment, elements of the global marketplace, and the role of financing are focus of the 2008 MedTech Conference.

Wednesday panel presentations will focus on the convergence of the MedTech industry with the wireless & IT sectors, remote patient monitoring technologies, critical issues to consider when entering M&A transactions, China's health care reform, maximizing commercialization, managing suppliers and outsourcing partnerships, the DNA of Selling and other topics of interest. Over the three days the conference has offered industry stakeholders the opportunity to participate in more than 55 panel sessions covering a variety of key industry issues, including: 21st Century Health Policy, Business Development & Finance, Compliance & Best Practices, Emerging Company Issues, Global Business Issues, Legal & Intellectual Property, Medical Technology Production Innovation, Product Quality & Manufacturing Innovation, Quality Management, Regulatory, and Reimbursement.

AdvaMed 2008 also provides sector-specific business development activities ranging from company presentations to partnering meetings as well as numerous networking forums and an extensive exhibition with an innovation alley.

Wednesday keynote plenary speaker is Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. He will participate in a book signing from 9:00 am - 10:00pm immediately following his keynote address. The conference opens at 7:30 am and ends at 1:30 pm.
