Former President of Sports Cardiology Consultants, LLC Christine Lawless, MD, MBA, ABCL, FACC, FACSM, Named Medical Director of CME Enterprise

CARMEL, Ind., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Christine Lawless, MD, has accepted the position as Medical Director of CME Enterprise, an ACCME-accredited provider of continuing medical education (CME), beginning March 2, 2009. Recognized as one of the world's leading authorities in sports medicine cardiology, Dr. Lawless recently completed her clinical tenure at The Ohio State University Medical Center, where she was Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Co-Director of Ross Heart Hospital Lipid Clinic.

"Placing Dr. Lawless as Medical Director greatly increases opportunities to engage in cardiovascular and sports medicine, ensuring that the CME Enterprise team will continue its growth as a consummate professional education resource for quality CME," said CME Enterprise owner Deborah Wood.

Dr. Lawless is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease clinical lipidology¸ and sports medicine. She also is Chair of the US Figure Skating Sports Sciences and Sports Medicine Committee and also Head Team Physician for US Figure Skating. Dr. Lawless serves on the Advisory Board for the National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association. She holds many other appointments in academic medicine and hospital-based clinical care.
