Formedix and OmniComm Partner to Offer CRO and Sponsors Multi-Vendor EDC Capabilities
Date:4/30/2013

Burlington, MA (PRWEB) April 30, 2013

Formedix, a leading provider of universal design and execution tools, has added to its rapidly growing Transform for Electronic Data Capture (EDC) product line. The partnership with OmniComm Systems, a full-service, global eClinical and EDC software and services company, provides integration with TrialMaster, a leading-edge system for Electronic Data Capture and Clinical Data Management.

Formedix Transform for TrialMaster drastically reduces study set-up time by allowing instantaneous visualization of TrialMaster eCRFs as they are designed. In addition, study builds are automated and drag-and-drop reuse is enhanced by leveraging portable, vendor neutral CDISC designs.

This latest capability from Formedix delivers even more choice to CROs and sponsors when selecting an EDC system. Training only needs to happen in one study design tool, which reduces the need for support and training in multiple systems.

Formedix CEO Mark Wheeldon is a keen advocate for vendor agnostic tools, “Formedix is continually striving to deliver time and cost saving solutions for clinical trial design and build. We pride ourselves on remaining unbiased and partner with EDC market-leaders so we can offer the capability of training in one design tool, executing in all.” Mr Wheeldon continues, “Often our customers ask us to build integrations for particular EDC systems and that’s how these partnerships often come about. We’re delighted to be working alongside OmniComm to satisfy the requirements of both our clients, and theirs!”

“Sponsors and CROs that use multiple EDC systems still want to maintain a global library of standards”, said Stephen Johnson, President and COO of OmniComm Systems. “This new release allows such a library to easily generate the study design for TrialMaster, which we believe to be the most intuitive EDC system on the market. We are glad to be working with Formedix to bring new options to the market”.

In addition to Transform for TrialMaster, the Formedix portfolio also includes Transform tools for many of the other leading EDC providers, with new additions to the suite coming later this quarter. This furthers the reputation of Formedix as the only independent provider of multi-vendor solutions for clinical trial automation everywhere in an end-to-end trial.
