Burlington, MA (PRWEB) June 14, 2013
The OpenClinica Global Conference is being held in the Sheraton Hotel, Boston, MA this year with Formedix CEO, Mark Wheeldon presenting as part of a packed program of valuable sessions, offering attendees a deeper insight into the future developments at OpenClinica and how they are working with partners, such as Formedix to develop innovative solutions.
The conference program will offer delegates the opportunity to learn all about OpenClinica, hear real-life case studies and discover more about best practices in clinical trials. There will also be sessions aimed at previewing future developments at OpenClinica, such as the new partnership with Formedix. Mark Wheeldon’s presentation ‘Utilizing CDISC Standards to Drive Efficiencies in Study Set-up and Build with OpenClinica’ will discuss real life experiences of using CDISC Database Standards (Operational Data Model) to drive efficiencies in study set-up and study build. He will also discuss how the partnership with OpenClinica and the new solution, Transform for OpenClinica will help to further achieve reductions in study build times.
Formedix, the clinical trial automation software and consultancy services provider, will be further extending its family of integration and publishing products with the addition of Transform for OpenClinica. Transform for OpenClinica, to be released later this quarter, is a new integration with Formedix Universal Design Tool, Origin, which merges study specification and EDC build into one process to drastically cut OpenClinica build times, in some cases by more than 55%.
Mark Wheeldon, CEO of Formedix and lifelong advocate of vendor agnostic tools, says “I am delighted to be invited to present at this year’s OpenClinica conference and even more so to be able to present following our partnership with OpenClinica. The release of Transform for OpenClinica will allow us to continue our ongoing mission to deliver more choice for study build, as well as reducing the need for training in multiple systems.”
The 2013 OpenClinica Conference has been scheduled to coincide with the DIA 49th Annual Meeting, where both OpenClinica and Formedix will be exhibiting. Formedix will be exhibiting at Booth #1846 and OpenClinica Booth #122. In keeping with this year’s conference theme ‘Advancing Therapeutic Innovation and Regulatory Science’, Formedix is offering a free Standards Health Check to all delegates to look at how they are coping with the increasing volume of external standards coming from CDISC, TransCelerate, NCI and offer advice on how companies can keep up-to-date with these changes, at least every quarter.
Formedix is pre-booking appointments to meet its experts for a Standards Health Check at Booth #1846 for attendees who have completed the questionnaire. Formedix CDISC experts can offer advice on how manual, expensive and labor intensive tasks can be removed from study set-up, EDC build, validation and submission processes.
