(1) Cost of product sales does not include amortization of intangible assets relating to intellectual property rights acquired, which is included in Depreciation and amortization. Amortization of intangible assets relating to favourable manufacturing contracts is recorded in Cost of product sales.

(2) Costs, predominantly relating to manufacturing set-up costs for new products, of $1.8 million for the three months to March 31, 2007, have been reclassified from Research and development to Cost of product sales.
