About Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association:
Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA) is a recognized industry association that has been featured in Aviation Week, Flight International, Smithsonian Air & Space, SpeedNews, the Wall Street Journal, and several other leading publications regarding their goals and progress to improve sustainability within the commercial aircraft industry. With specific attention to the safe and environmentally responsible management of the world's aging aircraft fleet - AFRA's efforts focus on:

  • Safe and environmentally responsible management of world's aging aircraft fleet,
  • Safe and economical return of aircraft, engines and parts to revenue service, and
  • Safe return of reclaimed materials back into commercial manufacturing
To remain unbiased, AFRA is a non-profit organization that does not rely on government sponsorship or funding. The association's activities are funded solely by its 30+ global members from companies and universities located in ten countries including North America, Europe, and Africa.
