Some of the unmet needs in the filter market include improved nonwoven fiber distribution and improved RO/UF membrane substrate media. There are also needs for membranes with higher flow rates and environmentally friendly disposable media.

On September 23-25, 2008 at the Charlotte Hilton University Place in Charlotte, NC, the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS) will be holding its' fall conference on the subject of "Infrastructure, Sustainability & Testing Management."
