Ending Opioid Use through Technology

Infinity Healing Center, along with sixteen other science and medical organizations, attended the first Congressional briefing on a revolutionary technology that effectively treats pain, reduces the need for opioids, and lowers healthcare costs.

Maryellen Ammons, the founder of Infinity Healing, testified on how technology using photobiomodulation (PBM) has been effective for the treatment of medical conditions like Lyme, Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Maryellen, alongside her daughter Elise and client Amy, spoke to Congressional Staffers, Doctors, Nurses, other health practitioners, and the media about the results they see and experience at Infinity Healing Center every day. The result goes beyond the elimination of medication; people have been able to recover their lives.

The timely briefing carries on the momentum from the recently passed Opioid Crisis Response Act (OCRA) of 2018, which expands programs for opioid prevention, treatment, and recovery. PBM, also known as light therapy, treats the underlying conditions causing pain, reducing the need for opioids.

PBM’s effectiveness is documented in over 4,000 research papers and 500 clinical trials. It is endorsed for use and insurance reimbursement by the national health programs in Australia, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and most other European nations. The United States is notably absent from this list.

"I was really encouraged to see this dialogue starting,” says Maryellen. “There are many helpful therapies like PBM available to the world but not available here in the US. Optimal Living is our birthright and technology like PBM helps you get there. We see people recovering their lives every day in our center. We have a long way to go and we need to continue to foster communication and education so that people know that these therapies are available and can ask for them. We need to collaborate and cooperate broadly to implement these therapies effectively and efficiently; there is a lot of science to support the use of these therapies. We strive to be a leader in this new generation of Optimal Health and we are happy to work together with other pioneers to help people thrive in their communities."
