Elekta President and CEO Tomas Puusepp Pledges Support in Addressing Global Cancer Challenge at World Cancer Leaders' Summit in Montreal

MONTREAL, Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tomas Puusepp, President and CEO of Elekta, a global leader in developing innovative solutions for treating cancer, will be participating in the 2012 World Cancer Leaders' Summit today in Montreal. Elekta also is a sponsor and exhibitor for the biennial UICC World Cancer Congress, Aug. 27-30 at the Palais des congres de Montreal.

The World Cancer Congress gives participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about solutions for reducing the impact of cancer on communities around the world. It will highlight how knowledge gained through research and practice can benefit people living with and affected by cancer.

Puusepp notes that Elekta is committed to supporting local cancer communities in Montreal and throughout Canada. Montreal is home to one of Elekta's key research and development centers, and some of the company's Canadian customers include McGill University Hospital Centre and Cancer Care Ontario, one of North America's largest cancer centers.
