Dr. James Douglas Adds Human Growth Hormone (HGH) Therapy to IVF Protocols for Poor Responding Patients

of the IVF cycle. The HGH is thought to help with oocyte maturation, improving egg quality especially in older women.

HGH is also being studied for use in treatment of other medical conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

While cautiously optimistic, Dr Douglas sees HGH as a potential second chance for a biological child for some couples struggling with infertility

“We are excited to have another option that may allow our patients to have the babies they so desperately desire,” Dr. Douglas said.
