Door Security at Genzyme, a Sanofi Company, Enhanced with Door Detective from Smarter Security

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced that Genzyme, a Sanofi company and leading biotech company, recently ordered several more units of Door Detective® CL for a multi-use facility in the United States. With Door Detective units already installed in four other Genzyme buildings, this latest order underscores the satisfaction and success the company has had with the tailgate detection device improving doorway access control.

“We recommend Door Detective to our operations where the business managers are seeking a ‘single-person entrance’ at an access controlled door – it is our standard,” said Bhavesh Patel, Senior Director, Security Services & Technology for Sanofi. “We have used all three models of Door Detective and they all work great in reducing tailgaters and the more common problem of piggybacking. We prefer the CL model because it has superior aesthetics that complement many of our buildings.”

The recent order for Door Detective CL will be deployed to further secure exit doors used by Genzyme employees at a large building that contains both offices and research facilities. Door Detective alarms trigger CCTV cameras to capture any violations in real-time so security officers can respond appropriately. In addition to placing Door Detective CL in many office buildings, Genzyme previously installed the EL model in stairwells where aesthetics are not as important and used the Compact model where space around the do
