Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Hires Vice President of Managed Markets

SWARTZ CREEK, Mich., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced that Dr. Atheer A. Kaddis has joined the company's executive management team. Dr. Kaddis will serve as Vice President of Managed Markets for the company. He reports directly to Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy's President and CEO, Philip Hagerman.

"The addition of Atheer Kaddis offers Diplomat the Managed Care expertise we need to further develop competitive, cost saving specialty programs making us an attractive choice for health care plans," comments Hagerman. Before joining Diplomat, Dr. Kaddis worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) as their Director of Pharmacy Services-Clinical. As the Director of Pharmacy Services-Clinical, Dr. Kaddis was responsible for the development and implementation of the specialty pharmacy program, development of the prescription drug formulary, development of clinical pharmacy programs, drug information, provider education, and customer liaison activities. Dr. Kaddis' previous experience also includes the position of Associate Director, Clinical Services at Merck-Medco. Dr. Kaddis is a graduate of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
