DW Healthcare Partners Announces the Sale of Tandem Labs

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- DW Healthcare Partners (DWHP), a healthcare focused private equity firm, announced today the sale of one of its portfolio companies, NWT Inc. ("Tandem Labs"), to Laboratory Corporation of America(R) Holdings (LabCorp(R)), one of the world's largest clinical laboratory businesses. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT, Tandem Labs is a leading bioanalytical and immunoanalytical contract research organization (CRO) supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with their discovery, preclinical, and clinical drug development programs. The sale of Tandem Labs generated a return for DWHP's investors of approximately 6.9x invested capital. DWHP and Tandem Labs were advised by William Blair & Company during the transaction.
