Cord Blood America CEO Matthew Schissler Says Operations Significantly Streamlined
Date:4/29/2008

LOS ANGELES, April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cord Blood America, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CBAI), the umbilical cord blood stem cell preservation company (http://www.cordblood-america.com ) focused on bringing the life saving potential of stem cells to families nationwide and internationally, today reported that Matthew Schissler, CEO, in an Internet interview with Francis Gaskins, said 2007 acquisitions resulted in an 820 percent increase in assets and a 600 percent increase in gross profits.

"We were able to significantly streamline operations, resulting in higher gross margins," Mr. Schissler said. "In 2008 our emphasis is to pay down debt so we can operate off our own cash flow."

The complete interview is available at http://www.stoxrox.com/cbaiaprl.mp3.

Cord Blood America's CEO said the Company will look globally in 2008 for new acquisitions, where there are 150 stem cell collection companies worldwide, saying he expects to add one or two companies and to begin at least one new stem cell venture in 2008. However, Mr. Schissler stressed that "we will clean up the balance sheet in 2008. It took significant capital to grow quickly, and we're probably the fastest growing stem cell company in the U.S."

Mr. Schissler emphasized that he is looking to improve the market cap toward an industry standard of five times revenues (approximately $30 million). "Our current valuation is low despite a strong revenue stream of $6 million annually," Cord Blood America's founder said.
