Connecticut Technology Council Announces UHY LLP Tech Top 40 Winners

HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Connecticut Technology Council and UHY LLP is releasing their list of the 40 fastest technology companies in Connecticut. The list of winning companies, called the UHY LLP Tech Top 40 is compiled on the basis of revenue growth over the last four years. Companies considered for this recognition have at least $3M in revenue, with some of the public companies winning this year exceeding $1Billion in revenue. The list is made up primarily of privately held companies, but does include twelve public companies, including Priceline.com, Jupiter Media, and L-1 Identity Solutions.

The winning companies are grouped into six technology verticals: Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, New Media/Internet/Telecom and Energy Environmental Technologies. Geographically the companies are fairly evenly distributed across the state.

The Council and UHY LLP will honor the winning companies the evening of November 6 at the Chevrolet Theater in Wallingford. At the event, which will also include a mini-trade show featuring the UHY LLP Tech Top 40 companies, six category winners will be announced, along with the company with the greatest percentage growth in revenue across all the technology verticals. Connecticut's Medal of Technology will also be presented on November 6. This year's honoree is Yale Professor T.P. Ma. The Medal of Technology is Connecticut's highest honor for technological achievement.
